Manchester City produced a statement performance at Anfield, beating Liverpool 3–0 in a dramatic Premier League clash.
The first half was tense and competitive, with neither side able to find the breakthrough. But the game changed after Ryan Gravenberch was sent off for a second yellow card in the 62nd minute, leaving Liverpool with ten men.
City immediately took advantage of the extra space. Erling Haaland opened the scoring before Jeremy Doku added a second. Rayan Cherki then completed the rout, giving City a convincing victory on Liverpool’s home ground.
For Liverpool, the red card proved costly, but the defeat also exposed how difficult it is to contain City’s attacking quality when they are given space.
For Manchester City, however, this was more than three points. A 3-0 win at Anfield sends a strong message to the rest of the Premier League.
City came, City saw, and City conquered Anfield.
