Fulham secured a massive 1–0 victory over Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with Oscar Bobb scoring a late winner to give the visitors three valuable Premier League points.
It was a tense encounter between two teams desperate for a positive result, with both sides aware of the importance of every point in their battle to climb away from the bottom of the table.
BOBB DELIVERS WHEN IT MATTERS MOST!
After a frustrating contest with chances at both ends, the breakthrough finally arrived in the 80th minute.
Oscar Bobb produced a moment of quality, cutting inside before curling a brilliant effort into the bottom-left corner to send the Fulham supporters into celebration.
The goal was particularly important for the visitors, who had struggled to turn their possession into clear cut chances. Bobb’s clinical finish proved the difference in a match where one moment of brilliance was enough.
COVENTRY LEFT FRUSTRATED
Coventry will be disappointed to come away empty-handed after a competitive performance. The hosts had opportunities to take the lead, including a first-half effort from Josh King that struck the woodwork.
However, they were unable to find a response after Bobb’s goal, allowing Fulham to leave with a vital victory.
