Bayern Munich suffered a frustrating night in the UEFA Champions League after being held to a dramatic 3–3 draw by Norwegian side Viking FK on October 13, 2026.

Viking stunned the German giants with an early goal from Gianni Stensness in the second minute before Peter Christiansen doubled their lead in the 38th minute.

Bayern responded strongly after the break, with Harry Kane scoring twice first from the penalty spot and then with a header to bring the visitors level. Luis Díaz completed the comeback in the 71st minute, putting Bayern ahead 3–2.

However, Michael Olise’s red card left Bayern with ten men, and Viking took advantage in the closing moments. Kristoffer Haugen scored a dramatic 90th-minute equaliser to secure a valuable point for the Norwegian side.

The result will disappoint Bayern, who appeared to have rescued the match after trailing by two goals. For Viking, the late equaliser was a memorable achievement against one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Full-time: Viking FK 3–3 Bayern Munich

Can Bayern recover from this setback, or will their defensive problems continue to cost them valuable points?
