Newcastle United delivered a strong away performance at Selhurst Park, defeating Crystal Palace 2–0 to pick up three valuable Premier League points.
Palace started brightly and threatened early, but Newcastle grew into the contest and made their breakthrough just after half-time. Will Osula struck in the 47th minute, finishing from Jacob Murphy’s excellent cross to put the visitors ahead.
The Magpies continued to apply pressure, and their persistence paid off again in the 58th minute. Harvey Barnes finished confidently after a well-worked move involving Amar Dedić to double Newcastle’s advantage.
Crystal Palace tried to find a way back into the match, but Newcastle remained organised and disciplined at the back. Joe Willock also thought he had added a third, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
The final whistle confirmed a deserved 2–0 victory for Newcastle, while Palace were left disappointed after failing to turn their early chances into goals.
