Nottingham Forest missed the chance to claim a crucial Premier League victory after being held to a 1–1 draw by Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Friday night.
Forest made a strong start and took the lead in the 13th minute through Neco Williams, who finished a well worked attacking move involving Daniel Muñoz and Morgan Gibbs White.
Ipswich responded with determination and found their equaliser in the 41st minute. A costly underhit backpass from Nikola Milenković allowed Julio Enciso to race through and beat goalkeeper Matz Sels, bringing the home side back into the contest.
The second half produced plenty of tension, with Forest creating several opportunities to regain the lead. However, Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton and defender Leif Davis made important interventions to keep the hosts in the game.
Despite late pressure from Forest, neither side could find a winner, and the contest ended with the points shared.
