Nobody could have predicted this! Como produced one of the most astonishing performances in Champions League history, destroying Lens 9–1 away from home.
The Italian side were ruthless in front of goal, with Anastasios Douvikas leading the attack with a sensational hat trick and an assist.
Nico Paz, Lucas da Cunha, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina and Matteo Papaccioli also found the net as Como overwhelmed their opponents.
Lens managed a consolation through Ruben Aguilar, but it did little to change the story of an unforgettable night.
The most remarkable part? Como scored six times in the second half, turning an already impressive performance into a historic demolition.
The nine goal haul equalled the Champions League record for the biggest winning margin.
Cesc Fàbregas’ side are making serious noise in Europe, and this performance will be remembered for a long time.
FINAL SCORE: LENS 1–9 COMO.
Is Como becoming the surprise package of this Champions League season?
