Barcelona sent a strong message to their Champions League rivals with a commanding 3–0 victory over Aston Villa at the Camp Nou.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 7th minute after Villa were caught trying to play out from the back. The young winger made no mistake, giving Barcelona an early advantage.
Villa tried to fight their way back into the contest, but Barcelona’s quality proved too much.
Raphinha took centre stage in the second half, doubling Barcelona’s lead in the 52nd minute before completing his brace in the 64th minute following an excellent delivery from João Cancelo.
Pedri also produced a superb midfield performance, controlling the tempo and helping Barcelona dominate proceedings.
Unai Emery’s side had moments of promise but ultimately had no answer to Barcelona’s attacking quality.
FINAL SCORE: BARCELONA 3–0 ASTON VILLA.
