Football has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of CD Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel, who passed away on Tuesday, November 3, at the age of 30.
The Spanish forward suffered a serious collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during a Segunda División encounter between the two sides on Monday.
The heartbreaking incident occurred deep into stoppage time, with the match level at 2–2. Owono rushed out of his goal to challenge for a long ball, and his knee struck De Miguel in the chest, leaving the Tenerife forward motionless on the pitch.

The goalkeeper was shown a red card following the challenge, while the match was subsequently abandoned.
De Miguel initially remained in intensive care after suffering a cardiac arrest. Despite efforts by medical teams, his condition deteriorated, and Tenerife confirmed his death on Tuesday morning.
