Barcelona head into the break with a narrow advantage after a lively first half against Aston Villa at the Camp Nou.
The breakthrough came in the 7th minute when Lamine Yamal punished a costly mistake in Villa’s build-up play, calmly finding the back of the net.
Villa had opportunities to respond, with Matty Cash going close and João Gomes seeing his effort blocked. Nicolas Jackson and his attacking teammates also threatened on the counter, but Barcelona have managed to protect their lead.
Unai Emery’s men still have a chance to turn things around, but they will need a much sharper second-half performance.
